SILENT AUCTION / DOOR PRIZE DONATION

Dear Potential Donor,
 
We are seeking your support as a silent auction/door prize donor for our 6th Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation.  This event will be held on July 25th, 2008 at Black Bear Golf Club (formally The Canterberry Club) in Parker, Colorado.  The items that you donate will directly benefit the Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation for the scholarships that they provide to High School Seniors.  As a benefit to providing a silent auction/door prize item, you are eligible to place an item in the player gift bags that will be handed out to every golfer and volunteer (quantity 150).  We ask that your item be something other than a brochure or flyer as most of this ends up in the trash.  Things that have been successfully received by the golfers have been:  golf balls, tees, ball markers, golf towels, water bottles, or any item of value that you can have you’re your logo placed on.  We have also had people purchase items such as golf balls and put a label or business card on them.
 
Our board is working hard to make sure that funds are available to assist Douglas County area High School seniors with their future educational needs.  They want to see this Foundation grow to a point where they can start providing full ride scholarships to the youth of Douglas County and we need your help. 
 
The Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship was originally setup by Bunny and Wayne Jackson in memory of their daughter who died at the young age of 24 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She never gave up and never let it get her down even though she was diagnosed with it at a very young age.  The foundation is proud to help students out in the memory of a wonderful caring person such as Debbie. 
 
The Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation Silent Auction, organized by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, is one of the Foundation’s largest fundraisers.  The proceeds from this event are used to supplement the capital and scholarship programs that the Foundation provides.  The Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity (tax id:  20-3037608) and your prize donation will be tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
